Richard W. Asplund is a professional investment analyst and advisor with twenty-five years of experience. Richard covers clean energy stocks, commodities, emerging markets, macroeconomics, and the global financial, equity and currency futures markets. He received an MBA cum laude from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Richard has been interviewed on CNBC, Fox, Bloomberg TV, Japanese NHK TV, and National Public Radio, and has been quoted in print publications such as Dow Jones, Reuters, USA Today, Newsweek and others.

Richard is the author of Profiting from Clean Energy: A Complete Guide to Trading Green in Solar, Wind, Ethanol, Fuel Cell, Carbon Credit Industries, and More. He is the contributing author of the CRB Commodity Yearbook (2003 through 2008) and the CRB Encyclopedia of Commodity and Financial Prices. Richard also developed the MAC Global Solar Energy Index, which is the tracking index for the first solar energy ETF: Claymore/MAC Global Solar Energy ETF.
