  • T. Boone Pickens' Stocks Struggle
Ah Yes, and how would that compare to those only holding financial stocks in a fund, or only china stocks in a fund, in the same time period.

Why pick only on T. Boone? There are others who are far worse off, and some of them are the financial geniuses who created much of this mess.

  • Q2 2008 Portfolio Moves: David Winters, T. Boone Pickens, Jim Puplava
I follow T. Boone's picks religously, and own many of his picks, including the ones mentioned above. He is the only one I see who makes any sense at all on the subject of the energy crisis we are headed toward. Most of the others, including the Wall Street crowd, just don't get it yet. They will eventually, and that is when it will be time to sell.

  • Wind's Our Future, but Natural Gas Is Now
I think T. Boone Pickens plan is the best plan on the table at the present time. We are going to need 'all of the above', to replace the decline in oil supply that is coming soon, and the sooner we get busy with a comprehensive overall energy plan, the easier will be the transition when the real crunch comes in a year or two. Further, the map above is from 2006, so doesn't include all the natural gas that has been found in the last two years in the Haynesville, Bartlett, and other shales. Natural gas and wind are a great combination, but we need to get started.

  • Barron's Banks on $100 Oil
Cramer had some thoughts on this that I agree with. Here is a link to his video comments in an interview on TheStreet.com:

His logic says that gasoline consumption has dropped by 1%, while the price of crude has doubled. Wow! That is really some demand destruction.......or words to that effect. A whole 1%, which is essentially nothing. A whole lot of folks are trying to talk the price of oil down, but I think it is just that....talk. In the meantime, new sources are not coming on-line as fast as old sources are drying up. IMHO

  • Filling Up on Natural Gas
And when we get around to using hydrogen as a fuel, it will likely be made from natural gas. Natural gas has a very bright future.
