Is Apple a Better Stock Than Google?

My 2cents..... Apple has evolved from a 2 cylinder motor cycle thru a 4 cylinder sedan to a six cylinder upscale sedan, and is on its way to being an 8 cylinder performance vehicle.
Cylinder is, of course, a metaphor for Line of Business

The iphone (aka Pocket Mac) is Apple's trojan horse which will introduce Max OS to the masses and accelerate market share gains for the Mac computers. Get it?
I doubt Apple wanted to be in the cell phone business, but it is a great catalyst.

Not Yet, but in 12 months.........
and tens of million iphone purchasers is a tad more than a 'bunch.
Not even Apple can be expected, in a few months, to unseat an incumbent which has had a few years headstart (and is now playing catch up technology wise).

So, Tom Tom overpaid for Tele Atlas and started a PND price war which permanently eroded the prices for consumer PNDs.
I think the writer is backing the wrong horse.

We needed Greenspan to state the obvious?
In any event, he has had him time in the spotlight and he should refrain from the rhetoric. The "irrational exuberance" in the mortgage and housing markets was a direct result of his excessively low interest rate regime.

I have used both Garmin and Tom Tom; the only reason I bought the Tom Tom is because it was cheaper as a result of the price war which Tom Tom started last fall.
The Tom Tom sucks compared to the Garmin.

Actually, I am not done yet; If Apple, the CEO, or its board was indeed manipulative, there would be ads on iTunes, and Apple would be earning massive earnings and profits on these
Instead, the manipulation is being done by "reporters" who write drivel in order to push the ads which appear around these articles.

3M (MMM) -- The moment this stock starts yielding 5%, I'm a buyer. Until then, keep your powder dry.

Bearish Calls:

Computer Sciences (CSC) -- This is a company that was going to be bought, but they passed up the chance. Now I don't want to buy it."
Annaly Mortgage (NLY) -- I think this is a business model that needs to borrow money. Definitively do not buy."
Northrop Grumman (NOC) -- You can't own the defense stocks right now. If I had to own one, I'd look at Lockheed Martin (LMT) with its good dividend.
